It's one of the early moths. You can find it usually in March and April in parks, mixed forests or scrubs. It's quite large - the wingspan is 35-45mm. It's not easy to find it in nature - the wings looks like tree bark.

The caterpilar foodplant is Birch (Betula).

Fine capture of this Moth very nicely camouflaged against the trunk of the . Very fine sharp details and natural colours. Nice soft background too.

Hello Chris,
Fine capture of flavicornis taken today!
Though this is nice and sharp it also shows the camouflage colouring when at rest like this. Excellent side POV that gives us a glimpse of a little bit of the yellowish antenna as well as the legs.

Wonderful shot of this perfectly camouflaged moth. the wing patterns and the marking on the trunk are very very similar and probably it has chosen to be there because of that. Very neat and sharp image with perfect lighting and precise DOF. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
