Shadow of a mountain
 |
|
[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
This panorama is taken from the peak of Mount Kinabalu, the highest mountain in southeast-Asia at 4095 meters above sealevel.
When the sun rises early in the morning the mountain casts a massive shadow over parts of Borneo.
When everyone went down from the summit I sat there reflecting over life and enjoying the breathtaking view. Why rush down?
3 photos stitched together, noise reduced, a bit of sharpening and very slight contrast boost aswell as curves altered for a more dark image. Any thoughts on this? |

Hi Johannes!
Very nice capture of this rare thing to see, it is very hard to find a spot where you can capture a complete shadow of a mountain from!
Colors and contrast are all very fine, and the view is amazing!
Many fine shots from you seen on TN makes me wonder why you wrote only 3 critiques so far, I'm sure you like many images here. Take your time on others and they will take theirs on you too!
Have a nice weekend,
Andor
Update: I just noticed there is a large version too, so some words on that: Details (even in the darks) and sharpness are very fine! With a more precise stitching it would deserve a large print, I'd be happy to put it on my wall!
fabulous shot of some rugged mountains. LOVE that shadow. and great lighting
