Redbilled Hornbill (Rooibekneushoringvoel) (Tockus erythrorhynchus)

This fellow has been described very adaquately on TN by Callie et al, so I am not going to duplicate.

I just thought this chap showed a bit of "attitude", so I nailed him!

Shooting Data: Nikon D70; Sigma 170-500mm set at 400mm. ISO 400.
Postprocessing done in Photoshop.

I don't care it's a beautiful exemplar, with good colours and in a good capture, goed werk Laurens

I am sure these guys post pictures of Callie and you on their TH (Trekhuman) site. Very sharp shot and I can see the cocky attitude. Thanks for posting.

Hi Ben,
this attractive and unique hornbill is very special. You exploited the light very well showing the details and colours.
superbs clarity and sharpness with the background enhancing the shape and features.
Malaysian do have hornbills but it lives in rainforest and high up on trees.
such a good presentation you gave.

Regards,
foozi
