This is not the best photo, but I still want to share it, because...
Nature is amazing!
This "piece of bird dropping" is actually a caterpillar.
What a clever camouflage.
I have no idea what this caterpillar is going to be when it grows up.
But I think it is actually pretty, if you can get past the scatological appearance.

As you say not the best of quality, but very interesting to see.
I've been reading up on butterfly and moth caterpillars, and am really amazed at the way they camouflage themselves.
