Hi all,
After a very long time I'm posting a macro subject. I shot this beetle molting yesterday, In order for an insect to grow in size, it must shed its old protective covering and replace it with a new one. This process is called a molt. In some insects, environmental factors such as temperature and food availability control molting; in others, the number of molts is fixed and is controlled by hormones.

Hope you people will like it

A fantastic macro, Goutham.
It is so hard to get a good rendition of the translucent parts, but you have done an excellent job here.
Excellent details and exposure.
Beautiful colors and composition.
Fascinating image.
TFS. : )

Goutham,

Great moment, well captured. Great focus and sharpness. I can see that you have faced the same difficulty as I had in keeping the entire bug and the molting in full focus.

SPECTACULAR shot!! How perfectly sharp in details and how beautiful! I had never seen this kind of bug and it looks really small.
Congratulations, Goutham.
Thank you very much for sharing and best regards.
