Very interesting note about the location of Aspens near underground water, a genuinely useful piece of wisdom, cheers!
Like the sunny side light here and the palette of new greens. The reflection mixed in with all this creates a very nice effect too. Cheers Bob, have good Monday my friend.

So snow is still falling Bob. But do you want the record to be broken? I think not?
I have always liked the look of Aspen trees - we don't have them here, but when I started looking at photos on the computer I was always drawn to Aspens. Their white bark and dark marking are always so attractive.
Nice to see them here with their wet feet,

Hi Bob , They say you learn something each day well i just have by reading you notes about the Aspen tree and water. I will now go and wake up the wife and tell her .I think Not. Your notes are always of interest so thanks to you my friend.
i like the mix of colours you have in the picture from the blue and greens to the silver whites of the trees. you have used the light well giving good detail.
well done TFs.
Really interesting note and I enjoyed the video of the wetlands - I'd love to get out there one day. I love the shot of the Aspen, which is well seen and beautifully composed. Still waiting for one of your B&W specials.

i love your Aspen trees shot on the water,
fine POV and DOF, lovely luminosity of the image
with excellent shrpness and details, here too in many many
places after the winter when the snow is melted
you see in the woods little places fill almost as a ponds,
an example, the nature park where come the wood ducks
many places there is very little ponds, the mallards
are there, there is few many, and the wood ducks
are in the main pond where is the nesting box
but in may, those places are dried and the
mallards too come to the main pond,

Hola Sr. Bob.
Una muy bella imagen de estos Alamos. Tiene mucha razon de buscar agua cerca de estos arboles. Sabiduria de los indios pasados, que aun hoy en dia estan vigetes.

Wonderful shot and you have taught us a good lesson today. Sums up as a good documentary image. Immaculate sharpness and lovely colours with clear details. The blue patches on the water of the reflecting sky looks majestic. Bright sunny lighting and I like the light/shadow effect. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.

Yes, Bob, the earth around these Aspen trees is getting green with fresh and re-born vegetation. Soon, other life forms would appear and grow together. That is the Miracle of Mother Nature that sustains life on our planet.
Though the Aspens are still barren, soon they too would have their new leaves.
The image of these trees is sombre and soothing. There is a feel of hope and not of despair.
The bits and pieces of the blue sky reflected on the water add to the general sense of happiness and hope in your picture.
Thanks and take care.

A nice capture of these aspen trees. Hope the water doesn't stay there for long else the trees will die. Excellent composition. Thanks a lot for sharing.

The fine spring light really makes the trunks stand out!
The trees are captured with fine details, and the image has a great feeling of depth...
And spring means water everywhere, for a while! The mood is well captured in an image containing several typical elements of the season!
