Ruby-Spotted Swallowtail
Papilio anchisiades

FW Length: 41-45 mm.

Geographic Range: Widespread and common from sea level to 1400 m on borh slopes, in association with disturbed habitats.

Host Plant (s): Casimiroa edulis, Zanthoxylum, Citrus (Rutaceae).

Unique Characteristics: Probably the most common and abundant swallowtail in Costa Rica, it is present in most habitats throughout the year.

Belle et intéressante composition macro-photographique bien réalisée pour ce beau papillon. Jolies couleurs et bonne netteté.

Nice capture. Very nice colors Manyee, well composed and good POV. The BG is nicely OOF, but seems to be a little bit noisy/grainy.

Noisy background and the head is OOF, but an interesting and colourful species. Good composition.

A bit noisy as mention, the S1 IS is noisy over 100ISO.

yes Manyee,
I like the very good composition,
the colours are very nice, but it's to noisy,
I think the pov is more on the leaf then on the butterfly, it's just a little,
the dof is exelent and the note is very complete,
So, you did a very good job,

Manyee, Overall this is a nice shot with good details. A tiny bit OE in spots..As stated you could improve the BG with a blur over the BG..TFS!
