Hello Bob,
I was just going to search for your latest posting and here you are next door! Not that I'm lazy but it has saved effort!
I think we should introduce our two lonely birds!
I see exactly what you mean here!
A big wild, free world - immense to a bird gliding on the thermals! Strangely shruken when thinking of our involvement.
I'll see what I can do to add to your theme next time I have an opportunity!
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
Many thanks for your feedback on 'I may be small but I'm tough'.

Hi Bob.
I know exactly what You mean in Your Note. I love birds, becouse they can go every were they want. No fences, no walls, no city limits or countries to stop. In other words They are free. and they belong to Mother Nature.
Saludos My good friend. Love your note.

A fascination I have in landscape photography is with sun drenched foregrounds and cloud or storm darked backgrounds.
Those scenes are fairly hard to come by but make for good pictures. In this one the gull is what does it for me.

Bonjour Bob,
Magnifique contraste entre l'oiseau blanc et le ciel orageux.
Le cadrage est parfait, la luminosité et les couleurs sont superbes.

Hi Bob,
Great use of the bright light against the dark clouds...very nice, well seen. The timing is superb, having placed the Gull against the darkest part of the cloud for maximum contrast.
Job well done, enjoy your weekend.

Hola Bob.
Una interesante serie la que empiezas con esta bella imagen.
La pequeña gaviota llena la escena, es imposible mirar esta imagen sin que la mirada sea atraída por el ave.
Buen encuadre y detalles.
Saludos, JL

Hello Bob,
This is a good beginning of the theme "Small birds, Big World". The highlighted white colours of the upperside of the wings and then the what darker BG (sky) in one word : GREAT. By this weathertype there is a lot of thermal. I live by the coast and I see this almost every day. When the seagulls coming back from there place inland and they go to there sleepingplaces at the coast, they are mostly soaring. I'm curious about the following photos.
Have a nice weekend and TFS BOB

Bob
I can sit back and imagine the adventure that this bird is undertaking from here. Maybe it has just escaped from the Giant Peach and is off to regale its story to friends ?

Hi Bob!
This is a very sensitive picture, it appears to me like a dream and lets me feel like flying away... away from that world, far up to the sky, joining the clouds in order to feel free...
If only I could!
Kind regards

Hi Bob,
What a wonderful idea for a theme. Fantastic timing to catch this gull while it was in the dark cloud. Amazing composition of the bird (looking small) in the dramatic looking sky. If I can work up the courage to post a feeble attempt of mine at an inflight bird I might contribute to your theme. If I do, feel free to uncontribute (?) it for not meeting up to your standards.

I like it!!
Very effective capture, Bob!
The compisition is right to the Rule of Thirds and works perfectly!
Brilliant sense of isolation of this small bird in a big world :-) That's a great idea for a theme too!
Well done!

Hi Bob, this image looks like the passing away of the soul of the Blue Jay ;-)) Thanks for your new theme and having put my picture in it with this superb shot of yours. The light is fantastic, you couldn't have a picture more archetypal, as would your friend Carl say it. The dark clouds against the bright white bird is superb, this is beautiful. Thank you!

Hi Bob,
I am not an experts in bird shots but I enjoy this image and you theme. Very creative thought and you can have a wide enough spectrum to play with. The migratory phenomenon of the birds is truely a thing to study and understand and your theme will definitely go a long way in understanding this. Wonderful shot and the dark clouds provides a fantastic effect. Waitng to see more of these. Very nicely composed. Kudos.
TFS.

Hi Bob
Long time no speak, my friend... I hope you are well :)
This is a superb shot with a very delicate composition. I love the moment when you captured this nice seagull here - right when it's over that dark cloud and thus creating this great contrast.
The positioning of the bird in the frame is also superb and aesthetic.
I also like your original idea for the theme...i will try and visit it as often as possible to see the new photos it includes :)
Take care and TFS
