Amazing and wonderful portrait of this lovely hummingbird, Pat!! The closest I have ever seen, and perfectly sharp. I like a lot the details on the plumage with that beautiful emerald color. Fantastic framing and composition.

Time is limited at the moment but I could not pass without leaving a few words of appreciation for your posting. I like the way you have captured this lovely bird and it is indeed a fine shot. The face turned sideways displays the shape and profile of the bird so well. It is a pretty bird with beautiful colours. I especially like the metallic green patches between grey feathers in the neck. This is a lovely close-up, with fine detail. The glint in the eye and the very sharp beak adds a special touch to this photo. This is a lovely presentation. Thanks for sharing.
