Stunning shot, Anh. The details are very sharp, the light brings out the beautiful colors, great pose of the lizard and excellent composition. Very well-done. Can you tell us more about this animal in the note section? A warm welcome to TN. : )

Good shot on your first on TN, indeed. Maximum visual impact. And yes, a little bit info wouldn't be bad. As I know, gekos are nocturnal. Looks like this one is not.
Regards, Petru

Très belle et intéressante composition macro-photographique bien réalisée pour ce superbe Gecko qui a une pose sympa. Jolies couleurs et bonne netteté.
Interesting & well done !

If it wouldnt bee too oversharpened this would make a perfect image. Couldve been a little more lavish with the frame as well !

Your gecko is not a gecko at all, but rather a lizard of the genus Calotes (Family Agamidae). They are sometimes referred to as Tree Dragons.

The identification was incorrect, but the shot is still beautiful!

Hi Anh,

well, this is a masterpiece.. perfect composition.. yuor positioned the animal nicely onto the frame..
despite a bright background you very well managed light on the subject.. and the green background also became a compliment to the picture..
Good presence of mind..
Best wishes

Fantastic Macro shot, LOVE it!!, What else is there to say!!!

Exactly, not a gecko, but still a very good photo. Please do not crop out the fingers.

Nice shot Le Anh!

Excellent sharpness all over the animal. Choosing a sideways POV was an excellent décision. Exposure is perfect all over and fill-in flash is well calibrated. Backlighting and shallow DOF create a beautifull BG.

Great shot and TFS.

The lighting is excellent! Very sharp! Perfect depth of field and positioning.

What an amazing shot! I like the sharpness of the subject (and the subject itself) the colors & the back ground, Thanks!

Nice colors, and very sharp. Composition is great. Nice capture.

Excelent shot with a great POV, colors, details and composition.

But it is not a gecko, it is most probably a member of the Agamidae family.

Dear Le,
it's a marvellous picture, but but- we voyeurs crave for some info on the animal, the situation and your technique.
Thanks! Dietrich

I´m not a specialist for geckos but my scientific background tells me that this animal isn´t one

Le anh,

Beautiful picture. Bright colors. Sharp.

Beautiful colors, pose and background. There are some oversharpening artifacts along the edges, but overall--great!

great shot!

Nice shot, Very sharp picture, did u use a sharpen filter of Adobe photoshop. There is a unusual outline in the figure. Consider about the naming, this is not a gecko this is a lizard. Another thing name the camera in the photographer's Note. Dont leave it blank. Thanx.

Cette photo et absolument fabuleuse!!
Merci de nous en faire profiter.

Hello Anh,
It is Garden Lizard (Calotes versicolor), not gecko. The male in breeding color is an impressive creature, with his handsome, sharp crest, orange head and colorful dewlap or throat flap, which is expanded during territorial displays. Hope you add photographers note too !
