Hello James,
Despite the heavy crop this image of the Pigmy Kingfisher is pretty sharp and noiseless. The lighting and composition on the lichen-covered twig are great.
TFS this fine image from your archives,
Ivan

Hi James,
This is so interesting! I have never seen this specie before. Kingfishers in my country are rare and very shy and I never had the chance to photograph one. This is beautiful specie that you captured with great colors, exposure, beautiful details and catch light. Even if it is a big crop, we still can appreciate nice quality. Thanks,
Claudine

I was on this wonderful addition early today US when my wife entered the room and asked to got out for a ride...so I obliged and lost this one until now..but to make notice and not to be late...it is a fain image of course. Coming from a master of the world..sounds like an action video game..but much different in the case of a well educated and traveled soul!

Hello James,
This is a new bird for me!
I find it amusing that it is called a kingfisher when it eats insects!
The images are very sharp and detailed despite the severe cropping! He appears to have very protruding eyes!
Lovely composition with the diagonal, lichen covered branch.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
many thanks for your warm comments on 'The emerging sun'

Hello James!
This time a bird picture :)
This is a lovely species, very colourful and beauty. I like the way you presened it: a frontal view with a little "profile" :)
Very nice work :)
By the way, I just noted in your intro (sorry, probably it was written long time ago, but I overlooked it before), that you have visited almost 140 coutries! WOW! This is very impressive :) But I really with you to see the other ones :)
Best greetings and thank you for showing - not only this picture :)
