just beautiful! i really like your "collection" of waders and sea-birds. i know this one of course, from bird-books, never seen
one in nature, maybe even not in a zoo. anyway, very nice and colorful capture, the plumage is great.
thanks & have a wonderful day. thor.

Though I have digiscoped Turnstones with fairly good results, I have never been as close as to take a fine shot like this. Excellent colours, sharpness, lighting and a fine POV.
TFS this beauty,

Now you introduce me to this handsome looking Turnstone. A wonderful shot with fine details of the face, wing, and plummage. The colors are most amazing and unusual. A nice pose and lovely setting.

I as well as others it seems, love teh shore birds. Your image is a fine example of these which I miss...although I tend to miss just about everything. I reckon I wouldn't make a good Buddhist Monk, but I would bow to them in their understanding of the passing on time, which is done so well in nature....exceptions being human. It looks a bit like a cross between a piper and a Killdeer...how odd...very well seen in its natural habitat. And again others are quite right about your aviary collection which is simply fine!
