A sunny day, warm temperatures and some time off. What a perfect opportunity to meet secretly in the meadows...this particular meadow is quite a ways into the Palouse where rock geology meets grassy fields filled with colours of true spring. I would venture to say that few cars come along the road I am on, as it is dirt and gravel. Already the sun has tuned the road into what we call washboard, making it tough on all but the 4x4 rigs. And to top it off, I had to shoot over Jane and out her window side...while she bent forward and down a bit. I think it hurt her some to get into this position, but the picture was pointed out by here. I had passed them and not seen until she mentioned...then I backed up and they went about their business as if we were not there. And of course I had my landscape lens on, but sometimes things work out for the best...as the environment in which I caught these two is quite a ways out of their stomping grounds.

Hi Bob. Nice to have a trip out into the country for you and Jane. The geese picked a nice spot to stop over. good detail ans summer colours in the flowers. well done TFS.
Have a nice weekend.

Namastay Bob,
A nice capture of this beautiful grass land with two geese in between. An excellent composition and good details. BTW in my current post I was trying to show that when food is abundant what bugs do :). Actually almost all were mating in this shot.
Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hello Bob,

Our Canadians, nice picture from the goose in the grass with the dandylions.

Hi Bob,

Looks like a romantic scene to me. Good composition, great POV and colours, sharp details.

Your grass and dandelions must start growing immediately the snows starts melting. Yes, it looks like these two had planned to meet secretly in the long grass. See them running together like that in the old movie.
Do these birds mate for life? It's the shooting season here and I see Canadia geese are fair game in NZ. There were lots in the South Island last month.
Lovely spring shot Bob, and a nice day to go driving.

Bellissima immagine, molto bella la composizione allargata al paesaggio con le due oche che si guardano nel prato impreziosito dai denti di leone, molto belli i colori e il senso di quiete. Grazie e complimenti. Ciao Maurizio

A very different shot, one rarely comes across shots which are complete, if I may, in terms of having an environment when the subject is an animal or a bird.ou've done it in the past, and this is a lovely representation of it again.

Hello Bob,
I thought it went, the cows in the meadow the sheep in the corn or something along that line. Great image Sir, the colorful surroundings and the lovers in the grass. Fine work my friend even if you needed a helping eye from Jane.

Great shot Bob,
I'll just bet that hidden in that tall grass are some tiny goslings. I know that most of the pairs around here already have their young running around with them.
These really are beautiful birds, but they can become a nightmare if they decide to take over a neighborhood park or beach.
Tell Jane thanks for pointing them out and allowing you to get such a nice shot, even though she had to experience some discomfort.

Hola Sr. Bob.
I can see that the last 9 photos are in birds, You sure have a great talent to take photos on this beautiful creatures of God.
I wonder what are those Geese doing in there, probably picking some flowers to give the ladies.
Like the note too, but please take good care of Your lovly wife.

Ciao Bob, fascinating composition with splendid flowers and lovely geese, great light and beautiful colors, very well done, have a good week end, ciao Silvio

Hi Bob,

I really like the shot, which is all the more special for including a good chunk of the meadow. I love the grasses and the yellow flowers, with the lushness of the meadow fading into what looks like a more baron hillside. The Canada Geese work really well together in the shot. A very effective addition to what looks like a growing collection of bird shots, which is always nice to see.

Hi Bob,

How your seasons have changed - this looks like summer! A scene I don't see here - green grass and yellow dandelions. The two geese look very much at home. Poor Jane - why didn't you just hand her the camera and let her take the picture?????

Another Jane

Hello Bob

A lovely pastoral scene.
The shot is a typical Spring time image.
The colours are well saturated.
Very good pov ,you have composed it well, the flowers add a nice touch.

hello Bob

beautiful image of this Canada Geese couple,
with fine POV and DOF, very beautiful luminosity of the image,
and excellent details and sharpness, TFS

The title makes me think of a song...can't quite come up with it right now...ducks in water...something in the sea...children in the playground...out goes she...
remember that?

Anyway, another fine photo you've shared here!

Hi Bob,

The two geese seem to be having a confrontation. The point of view is showing the birds being in alert against each other. The subject is nicely frame. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.
