There is nothing particularly exciting about this image, with exception that it is more artistic in nature than most I register...The tree is blossoming in the full spring weather and the gulls, normally circling over snow filled fields in winter, now have new grounds to search. This gull looked much more as if it were simply enjoying itself. It was indeed flying in territory frequented by the Osprey and Eagle. Perhaps it thought of itself as one of those grand birds as it mimicked the flight patterns so well...

I have only a few of these small bird , big world images. Not all are postable. Many are just too small or not enough colour. This one has a flow about it...a grace...a rhythm if you will...and the tree is what gives it the environment and proper size of the creature in contrast to its surrounding....

Well processed with good fine detail. The branches have a kaleidoscope-like quality.

For the sake of art my temptation would be to move the bird into that nice open spot in the upper middle part of the tree and crop off the entire right side to complete the kaleidoscopic effect.

Great shot... The bird in the nature or nature with the bird/ they know each other, they each othe's bard.

Namastay Bob,
Another fine capture added to the theme small bird big world. A very well composed shot with good details and well timed. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Hi Bob,

Not sure an Osprey is a small bird - but this does fit into your theme. A very pretty picture with the bird appearing to be flying into the tree, the graceful branches and the nice blue sky.

Hi Bob,
Another outstanding perspective presented with the small flying bird gives the image a fine dimension. Lovely colours and sharpness with perfect illumination. The sky acts as a fabulous BG and sets up a nice tone. Simply majestic. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
TFS.

These small bird, big world photos are so moving. You're right - it is very artistic but not more artistic than some of your other work. I never want to take that away from any of your pieces - you have an eye for art - you see, you snap and you create with your vision.
