I apologise for my sudden disappearance for the past few days...My paradise was due to shut in a few days(Last booking on 6/15, the reserve closes on 6/16) for the season and reopen later in November.
It was a day of heavy downpour, so some may find the light bad, others may want the leaves on the top left corner cropped, I like this shot the way it is...This shot is of the view across from the Dhikala Resthouse.

I qoute Shelley here, which reflect my mood.

If I were a dead leaf thou mightest bear;
If I were a swift cloud to fly with thee;
A wave to pant beneath thy power, and share

The impulse of thy strength, only less free
Than thou, O uncontrollable! if even
I were as in my boyhood, and could be

The comrade of thy wanderings over heaven,
As then, when to outstrip thy skiey speed
Scarce seem'd a vision—I would ne'er have striven

As thus with thee in prayer in my sore need.
O! lift me as a wave, a leaf, a cloud!
I fall upon the thorns of life! I bleed!

A heavy weight of hours has chain'd and bow'd
One too like thee—tameless, and swift, and proud.
Thanks for stopping by!

Hello Goldy. Beautiful image with the distant hills and low lying misty cloud. I can feel the freshness around here and thanks for sharing. Best regards. Jusni

Nice work Goldy, I like this.
Interesting contrast of the green-to-grey hills shrouded in the low lying clouds..And Thanx for the Shelly. Some of her best work.

That bush looks like some of our bushes down here in NZ Goldy. The heavy cloud cover means it must be very wet underfoot.
Good to see
Janice

PS Yes, I would have removed the top leaves!! :) :) It takes our attention away from the rest of the scene.

Hi Goldy,

A lovely landscape you've presented with us today, really like the different layers from the greenery in the foreground, to the grey clouds and sky in the background, t.f.s,

Cheers Rick :)

Hi Goldy

Lovely misty tones and scene. I can feel the moisture in the air in this shot. This is something those of us living in higher latitudes do not experience often.

James

Super prose and poetry which befits your style..and is that a lone small branch/tree? What a grab. wonderful work...I feel as though I am in both photo and in artwork as well as a dab of classic English!

Hi Goldy,

A wonderful scene - especially for someone who has seen nothing but blue skies and bright sunshine for too many days in a row. When monsoon season comes next month we will see clouds just like these low on the mountains and hovering above them. The nice green grass is a wonderful contrast to the grey.

Jane

Dear Goldy,
Every capture of yours' is superb :). Request correct location....it's not Mizoram (Photos: Earth >> Asia >> India >> Northeast >> Mizoram >> Jim Corbett National Park). Cheers.
Regards-Ranjan

Bonjour,

Bonne journée.
