A picture from my archives. An odd fly, looks like a wasp in shape. It´s was feeding on a dandelion flower in 2006 spring last days.

I hope you like it, thanks for critiques

HI Hernan, very nice shot, the details of the eyes is very impressive, not easy to take so perfectly in a full yellow background,my best compliments,Luciano

Hernan, the next try was Exposure: f/5.6, 1/125 seconds but for macro speed is necessory also the DOF is important, TFS.

Looks like it is a mimic fly, Hernan.
It has great features -- huge eyes and a shapely abdomen.
You have got the subject is sharp focus while it lounges on a yellow flower.
Great composition, indeed.
TFS and regards.

Hello Hernan,

Good sharp picture of this syrphide fly. Excellent composition. I think the colours are not right. Too much green tones. I did a WS.

Hi Hernan

This is indeed an odd subject...
Beautiful composition and wasp looks wonderful against the bright yellow base.Perfect crop and fine PoV.The well muted Bg too works quite fine.I would agree with Marie on the fact that the wasp could have been a bit more sharpened with the tech tools available. But i must admit that even without a sharpened image of the subject, the composition is really beautiful.
TFS & Cheers

Hello Hernan!
Very interesting fly species, even if I can not identify it (Syrphidae? Conopidae?). It looks really like some Hymenoptera species, especially like some Polistes species :)
TFS and all the best from Poland!
Friendly yours,
