Hello Paul,
A nice image, extremely well exposed given the strong tonal contrasts. Good to include the wave breaking as it provides a focal point and leads the eye to the distant headlands. Good light providing the colour-banding in the sea with that great turquoise strip across the centre. Nice weather too, could almost be somewhere in the Mediterranean. I think the horizon may be slightly tipping to the right, could well be my eyes though.
Regards,
Adrian

Hello Paul,
Lovely view from this deserted coast with its white pebbles, turqoise water and tumbling waves. Beautiful sky too. Great DOF and I like your low POV. Well done! You'll have to take care in your canoe along this rough coastline altough perhaps it is safer than climbing the cliffs! ;-)
TFS and cheers, Ulla

Graet shot! I love the composition, and you've captured that wave at the perfect moment! I find it difficult to capture waves at the right time, with the right shutter speed. Good exposure too, espcially for overhead sunshine!

Hi Paul!
Have you ever thought of swimming out there with a waterproof equipement?
:-)
I love this picture, it's so vivid and natural. The exposure settings explain why: the water is not blurred, but frozen. It looks great. The stones in the foreground are marvellous, too. I would be temptated by taking a picture of them alone...
Kind regards
Markus

Sounds like a challenge...How about an Avon or Avalon or whatever they call those rubber things which the US Coast Guard and even small volunteer fire departments use for sea rescues in the Northern Pacific..I have seen them used not only for that but also by citizens for imaging...although many, as in Steve Reekie...will use a Kayak! the Greatful Deads drummer Mickey Hart, was caught out in the surf on a kayak in 1980 or so..in Mendocino...I have images....a very nice one here too Paul before I get totally off topic..

Hello dear Paul
I can't imagine a better way to capture the great beauty of the place. You really have magic in your camera, and I still wonder how you do it. What a marvellous perspective, clarity and composition! And a perfect timing too catching the beauty of the waves and the marvellous colors of the waters.
Thank you very much for your stunning job. I hope you and your friend will be secure in your canoe and make wonderful and fruitful trips. I'm wishing to know those caves too thanks to you.
My best wishes for you and yours.
Greetings
Maite

Hello Paul,
Your pov and composition, as always, are excellent. The varied coloured, triangular patch of pebbles makes f/g interest and the frothy foam links it nicely with the surging wave.
Excellent colours.
Kind regards,
Bev :-)
I can't wait to see what canoe/style photography will bring! Certainly there will be new and exciting viewpoints! Many thanks for your warm comments on my 'Clover'.

Hey Brotha!
Wassup?Haven't seen many post from you lately (or did I miss any?)..I'm so certain this is your shot, I don't have to see your name anywhere! You do something with the scale, the Earth looks bigger than the sky...Maybe I'm wrong, but it's a lovely style!

What a fantastic depth of view and range of colours, Paul!
Your landscape images are invariably brilliant and lovely to look at.
I love the colour of the sky in this picture.
Dorset coast is quite dramatic and you are richer by being located there.
The caption of your image is striking and conclusive.
Regards.

Hello Paul,
This one is an excellent seascape, one of the rare good ones i have come across. The waves add life to your composition. I wish i could collect all those beautiful round pebbles from there...

Hello Paul,
I like the vertical composition of this picture. The stones in the front are so interesting, the azure colour of the sea, the frozen wave, just marvellous. It is a picture we have to look at several times to see all the subtilities in it.
Merci

Hallo Paul
I lovely peaceful and serene atmosphere you have captured here. Looking at this scene makes one forget of the daily rat race we are living in. The water looks so cool and refreshing and the colour is great. I think it would be wonderful sitting on one of the rocks with your feet in the water, thinking back of the innocence of your childhood. I enjoyed looking at this one. Thanks for sharing and enjoy your day.
Kind regards
Anna
