Hello Bima, wonderful shot of this sea urchin with great details. TFS. Regards,
Hi Yasin, Wonderful shot of this sea orchin with nice details and DOF. TFS this beauty my friend!
Nice color and spiny details :)
Great notes on this interesting specie of urchin,
I find this image very fascinating. It is a topic not very often seen on Trek Nature, and your useful notes made it more interesting. The bright colours are well captured and displayed. I'm not very familiar with underwater animals or survivel. I appreciate your photo.
Thanks for this contribution.
TFS this colourful sea urchin. Good colour, POV, DOF and notes.
HI Bima, very nice presentation, the colors are beautifulls and the details too, very interesting note,i like a lot your different and "brave" gallery,my best compliments,Luciano
Strongylocentrotus droebachiensis - what a mouthful!! It is a pretty sea egg, so sharp and colourful.
We also have Sea Urchins in NZ and the Maori name is Kina. But our Kina / Sea Eggs (Evechinus chloroticus have) dark grey / black spines - nothing as pretty as your photo.
PS After I wrote this I looked up Kina and this is what I found:
New Zealand has about 70 sea urchin species; most are deep-water dwellers, but 11 are found around coastal reefs.
Kina or the common sea urchin or sea egg (Evechinus chloroticus) is the best-known species – commercially valuable and considered a delicacy by Māori.
Very interesting subject, especially for somebody who doesn't live near to the sea. Good note too. This sea orchin looks very beautiful to me, but just a little remark, don't cut the subject too close, even if they are spines :-)!
Have a nice day
Ciao Bima, splendid strange with fantastic colors, great sharpness and fine details, very well done, have a good week end, ciao Silvio
Wonderful shot of this Sea Urchin with such lovely colours and details. It looks so beautiful in form and shape. Great illumination. Excellent POV and composition. Kudos.
Hello Bima. Your post are different and rather uncommon here in TN. I like the new perspective with this fine composition of something I have never seen before. The sharpness and detail is brilliant and the colors are amazing. Very well done and thanks for sharing. Best regards. Jusni
Beautiful capture.I liked colors, contrast and visual impact a lot.
Thanks for posting.
Nice to hear from you, my friend!I've never seen a sea-urchin, grey or green or yellow! So this is a new learning for me!
keep posting, friend, need to learn more!
A beautiful looking sea urchin Bima.
Reminds me of the colourful ones we had on Niue Island where I lived as a kid.
An interesting species and good addition to TNs archives.
A very interesting capture in rich colours and with fine clarity.
I am a little surprised after reading your notes. You mention green colour of the urchin, but it looks red and yellow to me!???Wonder why!
The depiction however is a fine documentation of the under water natural life. The notes are very educative and well reserched.
TFS & Cheers
