[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
PLEASE NO SMILES FOR THESE SHOT – ONLY NOT RATED COMMENTS

It is probably my last photo on TN. At least for some time. I will miss this site. Please no smiles for this shot. I want do dedicate this photo to Sumon, Rob, Necip, Howard , Joe and also Paul (unfortunately I don’t know him and his photos) but also to all active members on TN.

In photography words are not so important. The most important thing is a good picture. In nature photography two things are important. A good example of a good photo but also a passion and ability to observe nature.

We can learn more from the photos (from a good examples) than from (even the best) critique.

In our world where computers, fabrics, smoke and new technologies are the most important we have to be proud of the people who can and want to spent the time observing the nature and people who could give as an example how to observe nature.

I have learn more things from Rob’s great photos and (always) great notes than from all the critiques that I have received from all the members during those 3 years. In photography and in wildlife observation example is more important than words. Rob has a passion. He is one of only few TN members who could learn us how to observe the nature.

I began to think in a different way about the composition and about the butterfly shots after the great examples of butterfly shots taken by Sumon.

Every time when I am looking on Howard’s perfect shots I am thinking how to try to do something in the same or similar way.

When I was 15 years old I was taking only poor photos. Joe is a great example not only for (unfortunately very small) group of young TN members but also for all the members. Now the group of young members could be even smaller.

Also great frozen bird shots taken by Necip were great example to every birdwatcher on TN.

I also don’t like some things associated with critiques on TN. But fighting with those problems by fighting with the best TN photographers (and the best examples of great photography and great wild life observations) is not the way to improve this site.

Maybe the administrators will remove all the profiles of the active members. I think that it is something about 200-300 members. Than we will have a site with a 12 000 members without the critiques, without the comments and without the good examples (good photos) and also without the problems with Term of Service rules.

I could point out many members who need some warning for a very short comments and critiques but certainly not Howard, Rob, Necip, Joe and Sumon. I also think that there are probably two members that need to be punished for real violation of the TN terms of service.

Dear Administrators
Please think about it

There is still a time to change the decisions
TN is a community of photographers. Without the members it is only another website.

Thanks for sharing this wonderful butterfly picture before taking a break from TN, Chris.
Though TN is in the grip of turmoil at the moment, I am sure things would return to normal after some time.
Till then, keep shooting and keep happy!
Ram

Hello Krzysztof. I suffered the same fate as Sumon, Rob, Necip, Howard , Joe and also Paul in TE and TL but just lucky to survive here on TN. Thanks for the support and very well documented notes. Excellent image as always. Best regards. Jusni

Krzysztof,
thank you for this picture, an emotionally appealing, simple, straight and precise document of nature. It caught my attention from the thumbnail the moment I looked into today's gallery.
Having just returned from an extended trip a few days ago, and - due to some unusually heavy workload at my job - having been a rather infrequent visitor to this site since months, I didn't notice much of the troubles you are talking about, but I will try to find out. So, all I can say now: I will miss you as a member of this community, and I sincerely hope that you will stay in touch with TN and be back after a while.
I know that sometimes it needs a break to step back and relax.
Thank you for all the valuable, inspiring, encouraging inputs coming from you, my friend. With all my best wishes to you,
Peter

Hope you return, Krzysztof!
This superb sharp macro of a ringlet is a reminder of your talents as a photographer and a naturalist.
I'm staying, doing critiques but not posting for a while.
Best wishes,
Ivan

Hi Krzysztof, again.
Next fantastic shot from you. Brilliant details and sharpness of the fine insect and simply great exposure of white flowers. POV and framing cannot be better. My congratulations.
Alexei.

Hej Krzysztof,

Hi Krzysztof,
I'm back from my holiday in Spain and can now critique again because my ban has been lifted! :-)
Everything's cooled down a bit now so I will be posting again.

Thankyou greatly for your support.

Joe
