Hello Silke and neighbour!
Excellent capture of a Red Admiral on Buddleia.
The POV and half open wing pose are great and the light management just right together with fine sharpness and contrasting OOF Bg.
Nice to hear that you are on the mend and thanks for sharing thi beauty.
Our buddleia is attracting some butterflies but I haven't seen this species yet.

How lovely that you have captured a Red Admiral ... and on the buddleia! (I say that because I planted one this year, just to attract the butterflies. The flowers haven't opened yet, but as yet, I haven't seen a single butterfly in the garden!)
I like the way the butterfly has been captured with its wings creating a tight 'v' shape. The colours and patterns are absolutely fine and the positioning of the image is perfect.

Just gorgeous Silke! What details! how can I con you to post more of this on TL? How can I bride you? This is so pretty! You are way ahead of me on this! Great shot, of course, could be better by sitting him on a BLUE flower!! and posting on TL...but I digress.. Nice work!

This Red Admiral is just beautiful! I love the position you captured it in. Excellent details of the pretty markings. Colors are deep and rich and show off so well against the violet flower.

Great to see you back again too and with a beautiful capture of the Red Admiral on a Buddleia. We haven't seen one here yet! I like your POV, showing it with half-open wings, details are sharp and the colours natural. It stands out nicely from the background too. I'm not keen on big black frames as they tend to detract attention from the main subject, but that's just my taste!
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

You are unique in that you alone can make one particular style of frame work so well for you. Ansel did that in his shows which rarely changed. His images were displayed either under glass with clasps holding them on..or with plain unmasked polished aluminum frames... In this way each photo stood out for itself. This same holds for you. As long as you continue to use the dominant black frame...with only slight alterations, it brings out the image...and if this were hanging besides all of your others in a a gallery...with same frames...one would no longer "see" the frames...so..essentially it is a technique that works for you. And it works good. I can always tell your images in thumb...

Beautifull butterfly, very clear and sharp, with great POV and composition. I like your frame also. Blurred flower in BG is great.

très belle image colorée, la composition est excellente, le pov bien choisi. Petit détail, malgré le F8 les yeux méritent un peu plus de netteté, mais rien de grave.

Great shot of this admiral on the butterfly bush, though I'm afraid I don't like the big black border too much.
Good DOF and POV
Bad border :)

The close-up image of the Red Admiral working on the flower is allowing us to see the details an colors of the insect which are clear and sharp. The light is enhancing the colors. The butterly is well frame. Have a nice day.
