I was in Russia last week and stayed in Myshkin near Yaroslavl. There were three Crow species there.
Corvus monedula and
This one is Corvus corone. These three species were mostly together and very abundant.

Fantastic close up, I thought, when I saw in it in the thumbnail.
My critique is a bit the 'sharpening', I guess?

First-class portrait of a very cute bird. I like its terrific details and sharpness, blameless. Classic for portrait works framing and precise DOF. Absolutely BG is fine and create a wonderful canvas for this charming photo model. Bravo. Well done.
Hocam, such a great close up (i'd say a little bir over exposed). I noticed that the dorsum is less contrasted with head and that may mean that they are different subspecies (from Turkish ones)...
