Friends,

This is another colorful grasshopper which I happened to shoot inside our factory. It was hiding inside this bush and probably was trying to hide further. Hope you all like it. I am trying to identify this grasshopper. If someone has it please let me know. I will update it as soon as info available.

Hello
What a colorful insect. I like the way it is hiding inside the bush. Good work. SAN

Hello
WoW what a colorful one. Yday it was yellow mixed with green and today is it something different. How coloful they are. Thank you for sharing. Vignesh

While pottering around in the park in front of my school this morning, I too saw exactly the same grasshopper in the bushes but it quickly hid away, denying me the opportunity to shoot it. You were faster in your effort, though, because you got most of it in clear focus in spite of the vegetation surrounding it.
Well done and all the best.

hello ganesan,
nice and colorful shot of the grass hopper, i am really impressed the way you shoot without missing any opportunity, carrying a dslr with a huge and heavy lens like 180 macro is a tought task. I realised it on monday this week when i was climbing a small hill for landscapes shooting with two lenses, dslr , tripod and the accesories.
well done,
tfs & regards
pankaj

Hi Ganesh,

Good for you - you always have your eyes opened and you always carry your camera. Good timing to capture this grasshopper before he was completely hidden. Very interesting looking with lovely colors. Ours all seem to be green.

Hello Ganesh,

This is a very unusually coloured grasshopper. In England, they are green!
You have recorded its details well.
The tight crop works well as it relays the impression of hiding which you described in your notes.

Kind regards,
Bev :-)

Hello again Ganesh,
You must have countless species of grasshopper in India, many of them as striking as this as well as the previous species. Unfortunately grasshoppers are not the most popular insects and have not been surveyed in most countries, which makes ID information rather scant.
A fine sharp capture showing most of the features from a side POV.
Thanks for sharing it,
Ivan

Aunque son especies diferentes, hemos coincidido en ortópteros y en el formato de la toma jeje.
Bonita captura.
Un abrazo: J. Ignasi.
