|Ekutnia Lake is more or less 40 miles north of anchorage Alaska. It is their water supply. All glacier and snow melt. Around the right corner is the glacier that can be a route to to the Prince Willian Sound area. there is a small business there that rents bikes for the trail and kayaks for the lake. This one is old, looking through my file, missing hiking in Alaska. I have seen bear scat there, Dall sheep on the mountains, Moose. My buddy that lives there annually, with his friends, takes a ski trip up the valley and over the glacier to the Sound. |
Shot with my Rebel and a 70-200mm Canon lens.

what a nice place, good colors and composition, looks like the photo is sloping to the left a little bit and the foreground is a little soft on focus, but all around is a very nice shot
this is a fine landscape shot, the so many layers look great, liked the colors, the composition and the pov very much, you have managed the exposure well in this post,

Gorgeous scene Scott,
You've composed this shot wonderfully! Everything is super sharp and those colors are beautiful. Love the driftwood in the foreground and the majestic snow capped mountains add depth to this amazing image.
Did you post a similar image a long time back? This looks so familiar to me. I like the interesting foreground, mid-ground and background and sky. It does look like it could be rotated a bit to the right.
I lived in Palmer for a year a looooong time ago. I don't remember Ekutnia Lake... but then I don't remember a lot of things.
