One is in all the warm zone of Europe, the females are larger that the males, can arrive at but from 7 cms. They devour to the male after the copula and put eggs in capsules that fix to the branches, the young leave in spring. Mantis hunts immovable waiting for its prey to which it catches with its front legs which are equipped with excellent defences

Hello Francisco,

Nice and interesting photo of the mantis! Very interesting POV and lighting. I like the way light gives volume to insect's body. Color rendering is also good.

Brilliant pose composition and colors.
The arms are so big as compared to the body. Was it a very young one. How big was this one?
