Today a capture of a rather common butterfly, the grayling, maybe common but it is my first posting of this butterfly,it is hard to see as it well camouflaged with its wings closed,it flies between july and half of september,

Hello Paul, To me it appears to be a difficult shot. The color of the butterfly and the ground and with the sorroundings it is very difficult to spot this. You had done a very good job here. The view is superb and the sharpness is very nice. Great job and thanks for sharing this beauty. Ganesh

Hi Paul.
Despite the similar colouration of the butterfly and stones on the ground your managed to produce a perfectly detailed, sharp image of the beautiful butterfly and impressive surroundings. Great DOF, impressive framing and nice delicate lighting.

Hi Paul,

Nice way of showing the way butterfly uses it's colors to hide. Image is very good having a well used light and rendering the colors natuaraly. Also image is very sharp showing nicely the wing's pattern.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hello Paul,

Good shot of this rare butterfly.

I have seen him twice and have it also been placed on tn.
Beautiful camouflaged colours in his natural habitat.

Hi Paul. I saw a group of about 15-20 the other day all on the ground a unusual sight. You must have got down low on the ground for this POV. good detail and natural colours. well done TFS.
Nick..

Hi Paul

It may be common in Sweden, but I think its the first time I've seen it. And its great to see one of your butterflies amongst the pebbles, instead of on a flower. Perfect camouflage. Excellent sharpness and I like the composition. Great DOF too.
