Dear all,

This is a photo by accident : )

I would like to dedicate this photo to all the TN members who have either viewed my photos or given me comments, pointers and encouragement for improvement! Thank you so much! I really love TN a lot!

I have just come back from another insect photo-taking trip in the Kowloon Park. I was looking for bees and butterflies when this house sparrow came along. I know, with my two lenses - 90mm macro and zoom lens 18 -200mm, I wouldn't be able to take a proper photo of any birds which are, like this one, 4-5 meters away from me. But I tell myself, it's good to practise anyway - as if I were holding a lens of 400mm or 500mm : ) so I just took several pictures of this house sparrow.

after it has gone, I took a look of the photos: when I zoomed in on my viewer, I just couldn't help but laughed - oh...it has become a chicken (a cock) - something which is forbidden at TN : )

this is not a technically all right photo. I have cropped the original photo - where the house sparrow looks like a tiny dot in the photo.

But I hope this photo will give you a good laugh : )

to all the TN members and all my great mentors here: have a happy Sunday!!

Chrs,
Man Yee

Ciao Man Yee,
splendida cattura, ottima composizione con una bellissima ambientazione con i fiori e bella postura del passero, buona nitidezza, molto belli i colori ravvivati dalle macchie dei fiori.

Hi Man Yee,
Hey, I have never seen a bird eating a purple flower!
Love the colour contrasts here, and the way the bird apears in between all that leaves and flowers.
Even with large zooms is needed to crop sometimes to get the right composition.
Good work and thanks for share it.
My best regards,
JM

hello Man Yee

lovely image of a lovely bird, fine POV, i love thay he
is hided behind the flowers and vegetations,
and that flower petal on his mouth is so cute, TFS

Hi Man Yee,

Interesting to see the sparrow eating flowers. I like the colors of your photo especialy the blurry flowers in forground. This creates a stronger impression of space and depth.

Thank you for sharing,
Cristian

Hi Man Yee . The Sparrows eat the flowers in the spring in our garden . You have not done that bad with your lens. The bird may have let you get a bit closer then you would have got a better shot. anyway good one all the same. bright colours. wel ldone TFS.

Even cropping in so closely you still show off the little sparrow not too badly. A few years back the TN members went through a "Just Missed" phase, posting images of things that just missed out being good!! It was quite funny seeing what others posted.
Your sparrow is wearing a pretty pink hat - and has a pink feather in his mouth - very cute
