...Beetle, Cicindela hybrida. Look at those jaws, and you'll get the feel for why it's called a Tiger Beetle. A sand-dweller if there is one, it is always on the hunt for insects of all kinds in the sunny, dry places where the larvae also burrow. Rather common in coastal dunes and inland sandy areas.
