LONG TAİLED BLUE - Lampides boeticus

SIZE : 1,7 cm

ID : Male is violet-blues above, with narrow black borders and two black marginal spots at base of long tail on hindwing. Female is largely sooty brown, with variable amount of basal dusting of blue scales. Below, numerous narrow and wavy white and brown lines and two black marginal spotsedged with brilliant blue and orange on hindwing are very distinctive ; note white postmedian band on hindwing.

FL : April and mid-october, but manly june-july in the interior.

HB : Diverse

RG : All regions

FP : Many legumes (Fabaceae).

CO : A strong migrant found in many localities worldwide, including Australia and Hawai where it is known as Pea Blue
