Calidris minuta (TUR: Küçük kumkuşu, ENG: Little Stint):

Photo was taken in Filyos area around Zonguldak. Two little stint were together with one Calidris alpina and one Calidris canutus. Interesting that three Calidris species were together all day.

You can find some other seasonal forms of this species in my gallery.

This is one of seven species of the genus Calidris in Turkiye and is the smallest among them with body of 12-14 cm in the Western Palaearctic Region.

Photo was taken yesterday.
