Wingspan 3.5-4.5cm.
Widespread throughout Europe except for southern Spain, up to 2000m.

A very rare butterfly in Portugal.
By the upperside of the wings it looks like a Clossiana euphrosyne (Linnaeus, 1758), but it will be needed to see the underface of the wings for being shure.
