Hi Paul,
I like this shot very much and I had hoped to get to the arctic this year myself but I left it too late to do so.I like the dynamic of this well focused and coloured shot that shows the bear making a leap over the water.How large would this cub be as compared to an adult?A fine looking capture/composition and one I glad you shared.One more thing while you were on your trip,did you see any eider ducks?

A superb capture Paul!
The timing, the technical excellence, composition and exposure make this a top class shot of a Polar Bear cub about to jump from one ice flow to the next. Great POV and to see the ice being pressed down as he is about to jump is a great part of the action.
Thias is a favourite!

This is a trip I have always thought of taking but have been afraid of the cold. This picture might have swayed me. Your timing was perfect and you frozen the Polar Bear perfectly. This is one unusual shot for TN! What an awesome way to remember your trip by. This photo is outstanding. The details, POV and composition are top notch. Great work and TFS.
BTW, did you by any chance capture this bear frozen in mid-air? That is the only thing I can think of that could compete with this shot. Excellent work.

Potdomme Paul, dat is wel een heel spectaculaire photo. Je timing is echt super. Erg mooi om te zien hoe zo'n beer een sprong maakt vanaf zo'n klien ijsschotsje. Je ziet het ijs naar beneden worden geduwd. De details in deze foto zijn erg mooi.
