My dear Friends, I am very happy to present you my 150th presentation in TN gallery!!!
After over 18 months of membership, I can say only one thing: it was wonderful time, I learned a lot from all of you, watched a lot of beautiful pictures, and - what is the most important for me - found some very good Friends all around the world! :>
Many, many thanks for all your comments, critiques and your time during this period!!! :>

Well, some of you could ask me, why it is a reptile picture and not a photo with tiger beetle :> The true is that this is also a very special picture for me as it presents the last Polish lizard species I wanted to photograph in nature! :>

This is Anguis fragilis (Anguidae), the only lizard species known from Poland which is limbless. It is rather common species in Poland and Central Europe, in some regions even abundant. But I have to say that even if I saw it many times before - I had always badluck taking pictures of this species in my country. Bad light, bad weather, or my battery was ended... Finally this year - full success! ;>
Picture was taken during my... entomological studies in Budy Grabskie village, Bolimow Landscape Park.

The are only 3 more lizard species in Polish herpetofauna, so this is really not too much :> These are: Lacerta agilis, Lacerta viridis, and Zootoca vivipara.

I presented a portrait photo of A. fragilis before, so there is no reason to write details about this species also here.

On the other hand maybe some of you would be interested in another colour variation known in this lizard (picture by Dietrich) :>

Thank you in advance for your time and visit!!!

Hi neighbor :)

Congratulations for your 150th post! A very nice number!
And when you take into consideration that these photos are taken in no less than 18 countries, i think your contribution here is priceless.
Further more, one can find everything in your gallery: from landscapes, to bigger and smaller animals...all sorts of interesting stuff :)

This, too, is a great catch. I really like the low POV you took it from and good details it is presented with.
I wasn't lucky to see one this year, but wish me luck for the next one :) I have some trips to regions in which they live.
Very nice work with the flash and good DOF, too.

Bravo and TFS

Czesc Radek!

Gratulacje, jest okazja do swietowania :-) Ciesze sie, udalo mi sie sciagnac wasz 'desant' na TN, dzieki temu mozna poznac wiele ciekawych zwierzakow, fantastycznie przez was opisanych i sfotografowanych.

Padalec. Piekne kolory i poza z karcacym wzrokiem.

Czekam na nastepne setki postow!

Hello Radomir.

Hi Radomir,
as you notice, I'm still eagerly looking at images that present Anguis! This one (excellent shot) is particularly interesting to me as I never noticed a tesselate pattern in all my backyard slowworms. I tried to photograph the heads of all animals for a while but there are not always clear individual patterns that would enable me to identify each individual. Labelling them with a marker failed. Rougher methods like branding are out of question for me. Thanks for posting and mentioning.
Best regards

Hi Radomir!
Congratulations on your 150. post. This is a wonderful shot of Anguis fragilis with a very nice composition. We have this species in Turkey, too.
It's interesting you have only four lizard species. I think Poland is a great space for herpetological trips to find additional species :) You must think about changing your research interest :)
Best Regards, Nasit.

Beutiful close-up shot of this lizard Radomir. Great details as usual. TFS.

Congratulations for your 150th post. Very nice shot of Anguis, TFS.

Hola Radomir,

Hi Rado, nothing better to celebrate the 150th pic,the details and the colors of this anguis are fanatstics.I like a lot the point of view,my best compliments,Luciano

Hello Radomir,
It is a strange 'snake':-). It's not only limbless, its length is extraordinary for a lizard. But I'm not the expert. You are.
And congrats on #150!
Very educational contribution with an in-depth note.

Hi Radimar.
You did have success this time, great shot with great sharp detail and colour.
Lizard species which is limbless, did not relise these were not a snake, really interesting.

Heartiest congratulation on your 150th posting that sharing with us!
very good image with great sharpness, very nice colour and details
thank you for sharing

:) Hi Radek, I am thinking that you will start to study herpetology in scientific meaning in the near future! Because you are realy loving these creatures as at least like me:). And this love reclecting your beautiful shots of course. Great one again! Also nice selection to celebrate your 150th shot! Congrats my friend and more 150s with together!

By the way! You did nice work that you remind me the PDFs on Syria (I forgot, sory!). Soon!

Czesc Radek.
Wyglada swietnie.
Pozdrawiam Robert.

Hi Radek,
CONGRATULATIONS on you 150th post. A nice capture of this beautiful limbless lizard and very well presented. Very well composed with sharp details. Thanks a lot for sharing.

Saludos: Josep Ignasi Tejedor.

Czesc Radziu
No i juz 150 fotek. Niezle szalejesz na TN ;-) Czekam na wiecej
Pozdoba sie ;-)

Congratulations on 150 excellent posts. You are making a huge contribution to TrekNature! This one is no exception. Superb clarity and detail in a lovely setting. The colour of this legless Lizard is amazing, very well done my friend!

nice shot Radomir, nice light effect, pov and composition. Nice natural colours

Dear Radomir,
congratulations on your 150th. I am very happy to meet you. Our membership started almost same time. I have seen many great shots with good informative notes. Many thanks for sharing all of them.
This is also great capture for this legless lizard. Great focus and composition. Timing and POV also very nice. Many people think for it as a snake and so somebody call "blind snake [in TR]" and unfortunately they mostly kill it.
Thanks also good notes. I hope we will see your new posts for a long time. best wishes my friend.

Hi Radomir,
Sorry I have no points left.
I've done my 20 critiques for today.
This is a cool shot of the Slow Worm though.
I used to have these as pets when I was at boarding school in London.
The DOF is amazing here, and good all over detail.
Nice work.

You see now what good photography brings you? I am over twice your number of images and you are quite a way up the ladder in points..and yes I know...some folks say posing do not matter...well...I say...yeah they do!:-) And when you post, you post things of great concern to you and things which you think well in advance of..and you use words, notes either succinct or prolific whichever fits or suits the time...and this one is no exception...

Hello Radomir,
A superb capture of a Slow Worm, a species that I have had no luck with so far in Sweden. The use of flash, pose, POV and sharpness all contribute to make this a very successful and excellent image and thanks for sharing it!
