what you say in your notes is a real bummer or bring down in a less strong vernacular.Your heath is all that matters and I hope you will be strong and carry on.Seeing that even though you were in some distress when you took this wonderful shot,it is just over the top,but so very lovely at the same time.I sometimes think about my heath in terms of heart malaise,but it never really stops me from doing what I want to.This is from a guy now in his late forties.For what you had to go through I am an admirer as most people wouldn't or couldn't be bothered to take any photos under the conditions you speak of.There is nothing as far as this photo is concerned I can really critique,as it is good all round.I hope you will be Okay and continue on-business as usual.Thanks for sharing your experience. Hi Evelynn,

The exposure is especially well handled with hte back lighting. There is good detail on the light and dark side. It really does look as if the goat is asking if you are OK. Hope for a speedy and full recovery

Even with all that goes on in personal lives, somehow the best of us...meaning you in this case, are able to see and capture such interesting things and see emotion in it. And besides it is a doggone good clear image....you must have been glad for the good prognosis...

Sorry to hear that you have not been in the best health, i do hope that you have a full and speedy recovery.
This is a lovely portrait of a rocky mountain goat, i dont believe that i have seen one before and i was a bit taken aback when i first saw it. I dont know whether its just the angle of its head but its face almost looks like a dogs snout to me!
In any case this is a very endearing image and i do believe i can see a hint of concern in her expression.

Firstly, i must apologise for not seeing this sooner Evelynn. I am truly sad to hear you have been through such a bad and no doubt scary time recently - out there is not the best place to go having a heart attack!! I wish you the very best for a full recovery.
As for this...well, you it's a beauty don;t you?? The tilit of the head, the white fluffy fur...great stuff.

Hello Evelynn,
First you need your butt kicked for scaring me here, then for not having help getting off the trail. There is people trained to help. OK now that I have that of my chest, please get well soon, damn I miss your fall images. We were just can not seem to get together this year, well there is next year. This beautiful image does show a touch of addiction to photography under the circumstances. Yellowstone is being good to us, but we are headed out tomorrow. Stay well my friend and tell your husband to take care of you for us.

I sincerely hope your on the road to recovery, that must be a frighting experience to go though, I'm still shocked and amazed you were still taking photographs during the events, and your right this Rocky Mountain Goats does look somewhat concerned, but somehow that doesn’t surprise me I really think animals have a great sixth sense, stay safe and rest up. :)

I donot remember visiting your gallery earlier ...strange...i have been around here for a while now...it is the look in those eyes that made me click on the thumbnail.I went back a bit to look at some of your images and found some wonderful shots warm,endearing and more...
And then i came back to notes here...i realise this is not one of the great times you are going through but as there is good news to be, surely ahead...here are some more wishes for Godspeed from miles away...

The capture is all the more interesting ..the tilt of the head must be a question asking "U ok?" while you busied clicking...Beautiful expression and lighting that highlights the profile of your subject.

Geez, Evelynn. So you are having a virtual heart attack, and not only get off some shots, but a damn good one? Hmmm, I'd say that has to qualify for some kind of a Trek medal. That also may explain the expression on the old goat's face! [Damn these two-leged types are strange!]

Anyway, it's good to hear you're doing well (figured out the drug interaction). So I guess you'll be getting around to posting some of that backlog of shots that you have been shooting over the last couple of years? :-)

I totally missed this photo. I though about posting a photo for you and explaining what happend, but I felt that it is not my decision to explain it to the world. I am glad you did it. Isn't there a saying of mind over matter? It looks like you photography brain is more powerful and was still able to capture this wonderful moment. I am amazed that you got this close. You can really tell by its expression that you were only meters away.

I hope all is well and that you are feeling better. Maybe you and Jerry have to go out on a drive by photography shoot so that you do not have to make long hikes.

It's a bit weird it's taken at that specific moment and the strange thing is that it looks a bit weird as well.

I do love the expression of concern on the face of this mountain goat.
I can't believe that you were able to take this shot so close up,
and while you were experiencing symptoms of a heart attack!

I have missed many things lately on TN and I'm so sorry to hear that you have been sick... I hope that you feel better now and that you are having fast recovery! It has been quite a long time since I didn't visit your gallery and my attention was immediately attired to this sweet animal without knowing about this story. She is looking at you with so much tenderness and compassion, like she knew what was going on! Despite this incident, you are a healthy lady for sure and very talented photographer!
