A beautiful land/seascape and a perfect capture with a great depth of field Horia, the strong, chalky escarpments and the dainty flowering bush in the immediate foreground provide a nice contrast for your composition. TFS and cheers,
Mehmet

My Neighbour today, and for once we share the same subject and nearly location too! This makes me very happy my friend :o) I am honoured you choose to quote me a source of information too, i think that's a first for me ;o)
I remember this moment well. Despite our adverse weather conditions, we still had a great day. You have chosen to share a shot from a great place to shoot the Pinnacles from, a spot i have used myself in the past. I love the soft, almost dreamy colours here, with the bright yellow of the flowers in the foreground anchoring the view very well. I hope we can do it again someday, with better weather :o)
tfs this great memory.

Hi Horia!
After having read Paul's notes and laughed about his adventure, it's a normal step to switch over to your picture. Both are close together, but finally totally different in the way of approaching. I like your picture very much, mainly because of the tenderness it generates. The light, the atmosphere and the nature in this picture are soft and glow in natural colours. That kind of atmosphere is the result of indirect light, and you took advantage of it. I also like the large palette of colour tones in the sky, sometimes reflected in the water. Your picture awakes emotions, animates for dreaming and allows the spectator to "fly away" for a couple of minutes... It's hard to come back!
Kind regards
Markus

..well lighting or not, I can fully understand why you chose to post this and I'll chance it you have more...I personally am attracted to thee seascape geological shots...I hope you get to go again some time..and I hope you can spend longer...all things come to those who wait...and if your there long enough, you will have opportunities for sunny days as well..or so it is said in ancient books...there is a thing called sun in England right?:-)

Wonderful place and presented by you in very special way. I like composition (with this small flowers) and exposition :>

A great shot. Great DOF and POV. Lovely and sharp and great colours. I love the line of sight it gives, you feel drawn into the shot and the yellow in the front adds something to it.

Hi Horia
I have seen this place before from Paul's beautiful photos and this looks as glorious as them. You have the same wonderful eye for composition and the DOF and exposure are both spot oon. I'm glad you raided the archives.

Hi Horia,
I was wondering if we would see more from your trip to the UK? I actually like the light in this photo a lot. It gave the entire image a nice soft light effect and the grey sky made great contrast with the wonderful flower in the FG and the grass. I really like this POV where you have a real good feeling of the height of the cliff. The second exposure gave the water a wonderful texture and allowed for enormous depth in the photo.

Horia,
You have posted an excellent landscape shot. The dramiatic colour in the skyline, the contrast in colour between the cliff face and the sky is awesome. The yellow foliage in the FG as well as the detail shown in the image are excellent and make for a very good posting. The composition allows all to be well constructed and displayed.

Sheriff

Hello Horia,
Another lovely capture from the Dorset coast. I like the pretty yellow flower in the foreground as a contrast to the stark and steep cliffs and the dramatic dark sky reflected in the water. Excellent DOF and beautiful colours too.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

This is lovely Horia, and technically excellent. I love the soft shimmering light on the water and the sense of calm that the image projects... despite the storm clouds. I may have preferred that your point of view be a bit to the right so as to move the flowers a bit to the left. Maybe the other way may have worked as well. Maybe it is just me that notices that all the interesting bits are lined up vertically???? I have a real hard time noticing things like that in the field and they become more obvious on the computer screen. It is a beautiful photo and subject nevertheless!
TFS
