[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note

I found this bird near the pond. It was hot and humid and from the time of the shot you can see around mid noon. The sun light was direct on to the flower. I cant go to the otherside due to water level. So the flower was sightly over exposed but my aim is to focus and catch the bird's eye and it was glowing...

I am not sure whether this belong to the "Asian Starling family" or "Olive-Backed sunbird" . Request help.

Thanks for reading and helping.

Hello Ganesh,
A fine capture of a female Brown-throated Sunbird (Anthreptes malacensis).
Though a little soft it is well seen among the red flowers and against the fine bokeh BG. The red eye is quite obvious and the composition and POV are excellent.
TFS this fine image,

Hello Narayanan,

There is a nice light in your photo and beautifull colors. Nice POV showing well the bird. Contrast with the blurry background looks fine.

Thank you for sharing,

Very good looking bird, Ganesan.
Despite the harsh sun, you have captured the bird in nice detail.
Though the leaves are a little over-exposed, the image as a whole has very good appeal.
TFS and all the best.

Hello Ganesh,
In spite of the strong light you got a very nice capture of this pretty Sunbird with good focus on the red eye and fine details. A pretty flower too and a fine background.
TFS and regards, Ulla

Hi Ganesh,

It's not easy to get a shot of a Sunbird out in the open like this. Beautiful little bird with lovely colors and nice details. I love the red/orange eye. Looks just wonderful on the pretty bush.

Hi Ganesh, lovely bird with fantastic colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

hi ganesh,
very good attempt to capture this bird among the bright red flowers. too much of fiery red flowers, difficult to avoid though. did a workshop just to reduce the flowers in the frame. hope you don't mind. tfs.

Hi Narayanan,
This is a beautiful bird who is very special and unusual to me as we don't have similar specie here. You captured a nice image with good colors and exposure. I would have composed it a little less centered, like in the WS for example. Thanks,
