You have mastered the technique! Congratulations. This in-flight drake is wonderful - focused perfectly. Beautiful colors, excellent details. His face with the sparkling eye is superb. The autumn leaved trees make a wonderful background. Bravo.

Well it sure looks like you mastered it Asbed. Despite the bit of OE the image looks really good. Your duck is in focus. I rarely attempt shots like this. The one thing I did learn is to pan and follow through. Do not stop moving once you've clicked the shutter button. Nice job.

I am sure that there is not any problem on focusing in this shot my friend. All are perfect in this shot. Also you have select a good DOF creating an 3-D efect. Great shot indeed.
Many thanks for sharing this fine image. Have a nice new day Asbed!

Hi Asbed, beautiful flying duck, a little out of focus but autumnal colors are fantastic, very well done, ciao Silvio
I have to tell you, you have impressed me with the tireless efforts you been making to get right the inflight shots of these birds with a P&S. I have not been so courageous and havent had so much of dedication to persevere as much as you did.And do take a bow from me for the phenomenal result you have produced here. The picture quality is absolutley remarkable , yes, i agree with you there is slight OE on the wings but the overall result is quite commentable.
I love the BG with the autumn effect and the focus on the bird achieved with excellent quality. The head, the eye and the beak ...upto the tip of the left wi g and down to the feet...are in very good focus.I have experienced how quick these birds are moving in a flash to come swooping on to the water....Very well done indeed ...
my congratulations and keep them coming...
TFS & Cheers
(1)NiKKOR 5X OPTICAL ZOOM VR - is it extra lens fitted with your P&S?
(2) I would love to join you in celebrating this milestone and add this to my "Unforgettable" theme:)

this is a very good shot of this flying mallard.
I have shooting ducks in years and I know it's almost impossible to shot the with a digi compact, I have tried a lot
without any success, it's much easier to shot with a fast DSRL and a fast USM lens.
You did very well here with a nice compo and fine action.
About the OE, it's not a big nit but try to use manual settings
for the exposure.
Very fine work.

Though the wing is a little OE, this is a superb in-flight capture of a Mallard Drake. The contrast with the autumnal BG is superb and the sharpness of the duck helps to make it stand out in this excellent composition.
Well done Asbed and thanks for sharing this beauty,

A good capture of the mallard in flight, the details and colors of the duck are clear and sharp. The subject is well frame. The blur background brings out the duck. The light is enhancing the colors. Have a nice day.

You have some great inflight shots in your gallery. Very cool!
It's hard to catch those. I've never been able to. Not sure where to focus or aim.
