An excellent open-wing macro of a female Polyommatus icarus taken from a great POV with fine sharpness and just the right DOF to give a great OOF natural BG in a pleasing composition.

queste piccole farfalle sembrano tutte uguali eppure sono diverse, ma spesso capita che siano decisamente diverse nella stessa specie (non si è mai sicuri, a me manca sempre un confronto immediato o un esperto che mi dica cosa meglio osservare), penso che abbia ragione Ivan, in quanto i due ocelli discoidali sono evidenti anche nelle femmine di P. icarus. Bella composizione, buona nitidezza e belli i colori.

There is no end to your collection of beautiful butterflies. This Icarus with the opened wings is positioned perfectly to show off the exquisite colors and markings. Details are excellent - the white borders are so pretty. Excellent background and composition.

Beautiful sharp picture of this butterfly. Italy is so rich whith butterflies. Between you and Luciano you will have taken the picture of all the species, I think. A pity that Marcello does not post pictures any more to complete the collection with Sicilian species.
