je l'ai vue au bord d'un chemin à environ 2000 métres d'altitude dans les alpes françaises au dessus de Pralognan.
Elle se transforme en sphinx de l'euphorbe.

Bienvenido a TN Philippe.
Excelente primera entrega.
Gran colorido, excelente perspectiva y composicion.
Bien hecho.

Bienvenu à TN Philippe.
Excellent première livraison.
Grand colorée et excellente perspective et composition.
Bien fait.

Disgustingly pretty - or disgusting and pretty at the same time, I'm not sure which ;-)
It looks like the prototype for the high-speed trains the way it moves along the straw..
Good focus, colours and DOF.

Wow what a beauty that is Philippe. I would imagine with such bright vivid markings these things are poisonous.

Very good Philippe.
Great colours, good sharpness with good details and nice composition.
Well done
Welcome to TN

Philipe, Great photo! The absence of any type of note/exif data makes it hard to evaluate though..

Nice capture with very natural colours, welcome!!

Welcome to TN and you start with a very good 1st post. My only problem is the note. We learn from each others notes, not just about photography, but about nature in far away countries that we will probably never see. Thanks for posting this and I hope we see lots more of your work.

Leafy Spurge Hawkmoth in the common tongue. Welcome to TN, Philippe. Good job on the ID of this critter. Some info in your note would have made this an excellent posting. The photo is nice. The whites a tad bright on the top. But it's just a nit. Great 1st photo.

Photos of the whole lifecycle can be found here.

Bienvenue sur TN Philippe ;-) Une jolie première photo pour cette magnifique chenille. Belle composition avec des couleurs éclatantes.
Welcome and well done !

An excellent shot, so much detail and colour. Its a pity you didn't write something about it to add to our (TN) collective knowledge.

Welcom on TN Philippe. Very nice first post of a very colourful caterpillar. Very nice colours, sharpness and cropping. A small note about the picture would be very much apreciated in the future.

Hi Philippe, very nice Spurge Hawkmoth (Hyles euphorbiae), very clearly seen nice one.

I found this one by following your 2nd post back as it vanished on me as I was commenting on it, what happened ?
