Hello Everyone,

Anyone who is used to visiting my site will know that I love to see and watch robins.

With the weather turning colder, the birds are beginning to return to my garden and visit the feeders. I was so pleased to see this robin patrolling the decking in the cheeky manner so distinctive of robins! Besides investigating the decking, he sat on the bench surveying the scene, before he turned the important job of feeding.

If anyone would like to find out more about robins, please click here to access an interesting website.

Many thanks for your interest.
Please feel free to offer feedback on any aspect of the photograph. :-)

Hello Beverley,
Beautiful sharp Robin with excellent details. Great colours, also in the BG. Very nice composition and pose.

Hello Bev,
A very attractive capture of a Robin that I like most of all for the POV, pose and colours.
The sharpness is pretty good and the BG contrasting but a bit noisy, but you did well with the poor lighting.
British robins are renowned for their special behaviour: they are curious and become comparitively tame when they can associate people with food. Here and on the continent they are very shy and tend to keep to the undergrowth to appear where it is shady and not easy to photograph. So taking a shot like this in Sweden would be even more of an achievement:))!
Thanks for sharing this beauty,
Kind regards,

Hi Beverley. Thanks for the kind comments on my Robin. I am not one who is to keen on the winter but it brings the bird back into the garden which is a bonus. You have good detail and colours. with a nice pose on the bench. well done TFs.

Hi Bev

Lovely pose with great eye contact. It is so easy to read human emotions into them - everytime I venture outside - one of ours always turns up.

Sir Nick who I see has signed in, is truly another such as you..I can think of no other bird perched in his garden of which he takes so much interest...Believe me when I say this is good Bev...I compare all European to American...and ours are not always quite so delicate..

Hi Bev,
A lovely and excellent shot of this cute Robin in a fine posture and compğosition. The details are great.
TFS and cheers,

Hello Beverley

A lovely portrait of this cute little robin.
Nicely composed, the look in the eye says "take my picture".
Very good POV and DOF.
The colours look natural.

Ciao Beverley,
bellissima cattura, eccellente composizione per la splendida e classica postura del pettirosso colto con ottimi dettagli, molto belli e saturi i colori con uno stupendo OOF BG.

Hello Bev,
I wish our little Robin wouldn't have such sharp eyes. As soon as you approach, even if far away, off it goes into hiding in the hedge! Sharp focus and fine details of Robin here, only a pity about the busy background.
TFS and regards, Ulla

Ciao Bev, great capture of lovely robin with fantastic colors, fine details and splendid sharpness, very well done, ciao Silvio

Hi Bev,
Very beautiful capture of Robin with good POV and composition, sharp details and beautiful bright colours. Though Robin is here in the UK the number one garden bird my experience is that although it is common in Scandinavia it is rather a timid woodlands bird which you rarely see in gardens.
Best regards

Hi Beverley.
What a beauty you have pictured. I also like wonderful scene and POV. Colour and other details reproduction is great. Square cropping is so suitable for this subject. Well done. My best wishes and TFS.

Good shot of the Robin, Beverley! Nice details and colors. Well composed image and you did great to get it sharp at 1/25. Well done, thanks!

Hello Beverley,
Excellent shot, very good sharpness and depth of field, beautiful colors, nice catchlight and very nice composition and pov.

Bev, you are a very accomplished wild life photog I think. I really love it that the birds you see are different than the ones we have here in the US. Our robins are very different. Your shot is great, clear and colorful and easy to see the differences from here. Great work.
