Hi Peter,
schärfer geht's nicht mehr! Wow, tolles Bild.
Jaja, mich gibt's auch noch, bin wieder da nach fast 11 Monaten Pause. Hatte einfach nicht die Zeit - und wenn schon - dann mit Leib und Seele, so halbe Sachen gefallen mir nicht. Aber ohne TN geht's auch nicht, habe Euch alle vermißt und auch all die interessanten Informationen, ich konnte hier schon so viel lernen, auch Dank Dir.

A fine close up of a forficulid in its prime Peter, not a frequent visitor to TN, a perfect exposure under harsh sunlight from a good POV quite suitable for a sharp image. Thank you indeed for sharing this beauty with us my friend.

Superb macro of this curious looking insect, Peter.
With the given aperture value, you have got a razor sharp image there with immaculate details on the back of the creature. The colours too are just natural.

Excellent sharp picture of this earwig. Great detail. Superb colours. But, I am not sure at all about your identification. It looks a lot to the common earwig, forficula auricularia, and it is a female.

Guten Tag Peter,
Ja, die Hintergärten in Sprokhoevel und Marly gleichen sich ein wenig, mindestens was die kleinen Kreaturen betrifft. Sehr gut fotografiert, dieser "Ohrengrübel", wie man bei uns sagt. Auf diesem Bild ist diese Viech sogar mir sympathisch. Dietrich wird sich sicher freuen!

Hallo Peter,

also da habe ich wieder einmal etwas verschlafen, Deinen tollen Ohrwurm. Ich habe selber grosse Schwierigkeiten mit den lichtscheuen Kerlchen, aber Du hast ihn herrlich hingekriegt, 3D und die Zange hochgestellt! Ich bedanke mich auch für den lustigen Hinweis zu den "backyard creatures". Die Widmung erfüllt mich mit Freude, weil sie von jemandem kommt, dessen Arbeiten ich bewundere. Zur ID liegst Du nach meinder bestimmung mit Stresemann völlig richtig.
