How unusual to see toadstools in the Spring. Nice clear shot with excellent detail; good to see the tripod is coming in useful.

You keep this up and you will shame me into using my tripod more often. You did manage good sharpness and a nice assymetrical composition. This might have been a good opportunity to take advantage of a polarizing filter. It might have cut the reflection of the leaf and fungus.

Its good to hare you have finally found the value of a tripod :)Good luck trying to find a name for you fungus story I can not help. A good point of view but those reflections in the cap need to be bought under control.

To catch 2 beautiful objects is one photo. Is particularly here in TN. And just what Elisabeth said very unusual to see toadstools in the Spring, but mother Nature fixed it always (-: I like the lightfall on the cap of the fungus very much.

Looks like perfect breeding ground for the fungi, Steve. The moss-like vegetation on the ground is so rich.
With the tripod in use, this image is razor sharp and full of details on the fungus.
Here in the northern hemisphere, especially in the hills, the golden hues of autumn have taken over.
Thanks for sharing this refreshing shot and best regards.

lovely shot of this moist surrounding.
The fungi is so lively and so does the greens.
Nice lighting to give a soft and subtleshot.
Sharp and cler image, I could see patterns and lines on the main subject.

Two with one shot Steve.
Nicely captured, very sharp and fresh-looking.
The moss looks so thick and the plants grow well in it.
The flower (WS) is pretty too.
