[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Hi All,
This image of a drake Mallard Duck doing what I call flaring was shot horizontally but I cropped it vertically which I like better. Flaring or what I call flaring is when a bird is coming at you and suddenly goes sideways when it sees you. I have always liked this shot except that because in was taken with a setting sun, the green head almost looks black. If anyone can get it green please let me know how.

Hi Rick. This is a great inflight shot of the Drake with its wings wide open. Showing fine detail in the feathers , With the sun light giving warm colours. well done TFS.

Hi Rick, Perfectly captured Mallard Duck with great details. It is realy interesting that the head as black instead of green:). It is stemning from the way of the sun I think. TFS this fine image my friend.

Ps. I also captured a butterfly from lateral POV that the sun way like this and the result was interesting. Colours showed relatively some abberations:)

I cannot image better scene for this cute animal. Simply amazing shot, timing and composition. I like wonderful illumination of the bird, pleasant warm sunlight and great reproduction of every detail and feature of the fine bird. Bravo.

Hello Rick,
Well composed in flight shot of this Mallard.
About the green head 'issue', it's all due to the light I guess and other factors such as whether the head is wet or not.
I think you can't edit this through some kind of developer.
At least, I shouldn't do that:-).
