The great crested grebe will have 2-3 chicks, which they take very good care of.

From the hatcing, the chicks are fed with small live fish.

Hello Dan,
Last spring I had almost the same photo, but not so close. Very beautiful in great sharpness and details. Good timing in pleasant light and colours. Very good choice of composition.

Hi Dan,
Excellent shot from all perspectives, including exposure, POV and details. However I am unable to figure out what is the diagonal slight line on the bottom left starting from just below the mother grebe's neck and going till the bottom left corner of the pic?

Hello Dan,

You have captured a very interesting moment with the bird feeding the baby. Image is very sharp showing well the birds. Small bird pattern can be observed in great details.
