[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I like to do photos with birds but my 70-200 mm objective is not long enough for this purpose. Therefore I have to do my best getting as close as possible to the birds. In order to achieve this goal I am going in areas where birds are more or less accustomed with humans. Such a place is the zoological garden from my town.

Despite my efforts no bird wanted to let me come close enough for taking a decent photo. I was somehow disappointed. It was a squirrel moving on the ground when I heard a light noise in the tree, just above me. It was an Eurasian Jay (Garrulus glandarius) looking at me from the height of a branch.

I slowly raised my camera towards the bird and took some photos. It seems she curious to find out what the human was doing there. After carefully looking at me she moved one branch higher. I was of no interest for her.

Hi Cristian. You have done well with the lens you had on the camera. You must have been right underthe bird. You have captured good detail and natural colours. well done TFS.
Nick..

Ciao Cristian,
bella immagine di ghiandaia, catturata con un'ottima definizione nel suo ambiente naturale, molto bella la composizione con le prospettive diagonali dei rami che incrociano con la ghiandaia, belli e naturali i colori.
TFS.

Hello Cristian,
Though not from a perfect POV, this is otherwise a fine capture of this shy bird, the European Jay, the visible parts being captured with good sharpness. Nice to see the blue pattern on the wing and the eye contact is excellent in this well-composed shot.
TFS,
Kind regards,
Ivan

Hello Cristian,

A fine capture of this beautiful crow (in Turk. we say Kestane Kargası) with wonderful details, sharpness, nice DOF/POV and composition.

Hi Cristian.
Few days ago I have tried to catch this bird too with my 80-200 mm lens. It is really difficult task. In my case the key weak point was small tree twigs in front of bird. In a word I could not take good shots. Despite the light BG you managed to get nicely exposed shot. I like close-shooting distance too as well as diagonal composition of the image. Bird image is soft a little bit but it is not a point. My kind regards and TFS.
Alexei.

Salut Cristian, felicitari pentru fotografie, gaita este dintotdeauna un subiect frumos si interesant, nu prea usor de pozat.

Hello Cristian,
The Jay is pretty hard to get close to here so you're lucky to have got this capture even if the branches are rather dominating. Great focus on the eye and I like the glimpse of the beautiful blue on the wing. I also like the diagonal composition.
TFS and best wishes, Ulla

Merhaba Cristian!
