I for one have never seen a Ring Ouzel - though they were one of the first birds we learnt about. Well done on this lovely shot and your TN first.

Congratualtions on this TN first, Pekka!
Ring Ouzels are very shy and difficult to approach, so you did well in capturing this one that shows up well against the moorland grass.
I got within 30 meters of one that I photographed in Lappland but the result was not as good as this.

Great capture with your long lens, Pekka.
If it is the first picture of this bird on TN, I must congratulate you heartily.
Thanks and regards.

Congratulations on presenting the first Ring Ouzel on TN - perhaps because they are so evasive no one else could get a shot. A beautiful capture - even from a distance the details are excellent of his head, eye, wing and plummage. I love the yellow beak. He stands out very well from the natural setting.

Is not easy to achieve a first time specie in TN.
And you've got a very clear image of the R. Ouzels, while standing over the grass.
Congratulations for the scoop and thanks for share.

Well done on capturing one of these elusive birds. I watch out for them every autumn at Durlston near Swanage on the coast of Southern England. They normally rest and feed here before crossing the English Channel and continuing their migration. Not seen one yet!
Good detail and lighting and a nice pose by the bird.

Well done, this is a very fine bird that I've never seen. Even though it is far away you show it in a fine pose displying its markings very nicely.
Many thanks and cheers, Ulla
