[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Close up detail of the wing of a female Brimstone Butterfly.

Not really a shot to write notes for on the species, I did that on my last upload for the same butterfly. This time I wanted to concentrate solely on the wing as I find them fascinating when studied at close quarters like this.

Thanks for looking and I appreciate any feedback on this shot and all my others.

On first look I thought this was a leaf. But after reading your note discovered it to be a wing!
You have done a superb job with this photograph. Great focus and amazing detail. I love the scales, vains and hairs on the wing.

Thanks for a close shot of something we don't often see.

that zoom in from the Brimstone posted the day before looks very interesting, and very aesthetical, too.
That "close", it seems to be at the limits of the available resolution, but is still pretty sharp.
To my taste, the "curve" to the right might have looked even better when staying untouched by the cropping. But that needs to be checked.
There is a lot of potential in these pictures of your collection.

Thanks and regards.

With Attacus atlas and Apatura iris I have finished to show my own zoom in's for a while.
I do not have anything of that kind that comes near to the quality of your work, both technically, and artistically.
I am looking forward to seeing more of your works.
