Plain Tiger
Danaus chrysippus chrysippus (Linaeus)
Danaidae family
wingspan: 70-80 mm.

Very happy that many liked my season's greetings and thank everybody.
I was away from home for few days and hope to go through all those lovely images.
Another Tiger (plain) here, simple and straightforward image, captured with early morning soft sunlight which had rendered warm colors to this common butterfly. Seen many times here but hope this will add some warmth to your spirits in this cold season.

Hi Nagaraj. Far from being plain it beautiful. and you have taken it so well with good detail and natural colours. Stands out well from the plain BG. I like the bent dry plant its on. well done TFS.

I like the earthtones and the comparison of beauty with the dead, gnarly leaf. Congratulations. Also, I have not seen this butterfly in the western US.

Superb capture of this pretty butterfly on a lovely dry grass. Excellent focus and sharp details. Beautiful light and colours and a fine background too.
Many thanks, Ulla

Hello Nagaraj,
Good photograph. Point of view and depth of field are excellent.
Settings are apparently very good. I do like the 'details' in photo information: Tripod...yes!
The perch is a beauty.
I tried an extra sharpening in a workshop just to see...
It's attempt to enhance the image as it's definitely well done.

Hello Nagraj,
A fine closed-wing portrait of a Plain Tiger taken from a fine POV with good use of the limited ligting to achieve fine sharpness and colours against a pleasing contrasting neutral BG. Nice composition on the withered stem too.
Thanks for shring thisbeauty,
