THERE IS A WORKSHOP WITH ANOTHER VIEW.

Here we have mating pondscaters.

Looks like when season arrives, it arrives for every creature of this world, no matter how "odd" it is :D ...

I decided to try to get them without flash, a difficult task taking into account this ones are always moving over the water surface. I dont really know if they were mating, or maybe the males had chosen their females, and where waiting for the correct moment, as they never separated from each other.

In the WORKSHOP you can notice how the poor female has to support the weight of the male, lowering the back legs to get more water surface contact, although the male seems to help with his toes :)
The position of the forward legs of the male, pointing to the front is coriuos.

Hope you like!

Great shot Felipe. The title reminds me of my favourite film, Dr Strangelove. Super details and great composition. Very well done.

This is a great picture, especially considering that those fellows are hard to capture in any situation. The composition and sharpness are stunning. Super job!

Hello Felipe,
A superb capture!
A great POV,excellent detail and I love that water surface, its like a mirror.
Great work,very well done.

TFS

Nice and clear shot Felipe. Excellent sharpness with lots of details. IMO the WS is even better because of the dark water wich is setting them off in a better way and I really like the sparks in the water.

An interesting and engaging photo Felipe! I love the reflection and the light on the water. Centered composition is just right for these.

Felipe, I think the WORKSHOP version is fantastic. The darker mood with the sun/flash reflections in the water, the position of the ballanced male and the diagonal composition make that a much better image than this one. So I give you 2 points for the workshop shot.

This one I don't like that much. The DOF is not great, so IMO to many parts of the skatter are out of focus. :) :)

Great macro, Felipe.
I know that's very hard to het a decent shot of these, you manage very well. Good details, nice crop and good POV.
Very well done.

This is great photo Felipe. I love POV, it is incredibly good. BG from calm water looks superb, something like surface of mirror or mercurium. Details and sharpness are also perfect. And moment is very good. Last but not least I like your title very much - it remainds me good old days and Depeche Mode [I bet Paul will write something about my bad musical taste ;-)].

Hi Felipe, fantastic shot :). I love the almost architectural feel to it, all those long legs crisscrossing and supporting. Your technical execution is great in every way and I like the workshop version just as much. TFS :)

Wow! Very original, Felipe, and also a true performance to get these critters so sharp and detailed. The composition is also very wll arranged, very graphic. Lot's in this shot...the lower part looks like electrical dwires plunging in a mercury bath and generating sparks. Strange. You did a super job here!

Hello Felipe!

Hello Felipe,

This is a different shot and that's always nice to see on TN! Dof is a l;ittle bit too shallow I think. Sharp details, well composed and good colors. I like the two sparkles (sunreflections). Well done & TFS!

Regards,
Pieter

Very interesting shot, Felipe. Sharp details and good exposure. I really like the two sparkling points where the front legs touched the mirror-like water surface. What a tangle of legs. Excellent composition. Well done and TFS. : )

Felipe, I have seen nothing like this before. The details are fantastic. Great moment and a brilliant capture. Well done my friend.

Felipe, outra de suas formidáveis fotos.

Excelente momento que você nos mostra com talento e humor.

Belo enquadramento para nos mostrar como a vida prossegue.

P.S.: acrescentei sua foto a um tema que criei.

A very striking shot due to the close crop and the diagonal lines. Well seen.
