Even though Mallard Ducks are a common sight here in Ohio, I never get tired of admiring their beautiful plumage. I especially like the iridescent colors that the males display when the sun hits them at just the right angle.

Hi Ron,

Mallards are very beautiful with their wonderful colors and you have captured this one perfectly. Excellent colors, lighting and details. I love the leg paddling under the water and the marvelous reflections. I wish they were common here but when there's no water............

Ron,

This is really sharp, amazed that you can see through the water. I see that you have upgraded cameras. It's hard to "shoot" water fowl from shore with out the down POV. I would be tempted to lay on the bank.

Hello Ron
Nice capture with good details and beautiful colors.
Next time try to get a low POV, you'll see the effect.

Ron,

I agree with your note. This is a very good shot of Mr. Mallard. The reflection in the water helps make this shot. The focus and exposure are right on.

Keep shooting those old familiar birds.

Bob

Hi Ron,

Shows the fine detail in the feather patterns nicely. Excellent exposure and color too.
