|In a local duck pond in Craig Park, Fullerton, CA, this male Mandarin duck has spent a couple of years. He seems to have a mate this spring, so hopefully more rare Mandarin ducks. He is either sleeping, with his bill in his wing feathers, or is spooked to run for the water. She seems more calm, but less photogenic.|

Pretty birds, I like the POV, my guess is that you cropped a lot out. It's also a bit soft. You could have tripled the size of the image to post it, you have 78 kb and we can post up to 300 kb, might have been sharper that way.
wow very well clicked, it looks good wen you see birds with differrent colors, very well focused.

Beautiful couple Carl,
I've never seen a Mandarin duck outside of photos, but I think they are one of the most colorful in the world. Great capture, love the wonderful pose you obtained, it gives us a really good look at it's gorgeous plumage. TFS.
